"Games under attack : Addiction & Violence".
Seems to me, this is a serious issue. Addiction and violence in gaming. It's happening right in front of our very eyes. Even me, I experienced that. Violence games, fun but catastrophic! It pumps up your adrenaline and the addiction to it is unstoppable. So friends, we are now to discuss and understand this issue and provide the group with samples and arguments.
"No. I just wanted to piss you off before I killed you."
-Tommy Vercetti, Grand Theft Auto (GAME)-
*sorry if this is offending but this is the truth in games nowadays.

I love this game, the gameplay, sound, graphic and all. But one thing keeps playing with my mind while playing this type of game. Violence and such is okay for adults, but for kids who are growing up, its totally not suitable for them. These foul words, erotic scenes, violence can turned them into tend-to-be-negative characteristics.
ReplyDelete1. In 2009, a six-year-old boy, who claimed he had learned to drive from the game, took his family's car on a 10 mile trip before he crashed.

CRITICAL REFLECTION:
ReplyDeleteAs the level of violence in video games has increased, so has concern for the effects on those who play, especially those who play a lot.
One of the primary concerns with violence in video games is that gaming is not passive. In order to play and win, the player has to be the aggressor.Rather than watching violence, as he might do on television,he's committing the violent acts. Most researchers acknowledge that this kind of active participation affects a person's thought patterns,at least in the short term.
TO FARID ALI:
ReplyDeleteThe video games made their appearance in the 1970s, it wasn't until systems like the Sony PlayStation were released in the 1980s that violence became an issue. Along with these more sophisticated systems came the ability to make graphics more lifelike. The more lifelike they've become, the more interest there has been in the correlation between violent games and violent behavior.
TO SHAHEIR JIBIN:
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about that.In order to play and win, the player has to be the aggressor. Rather than watching violence, as he might do on television, he's committing the violent acts. That is the most big affection that affects all the childrens today.
CRITICAL REFLECTION :
ReplyDeleteVideo games are now is a common things among us, especially teenagers. They love to play games. But nowdays, games usually comes with awesome graphics and more to 'virtual reality' type of games, and there is a violence scene that appear on certain games, to make it more interesting.
Honestly I love to play this kind of game, for example, GTA (Grand Theft Auto). This game has a lot of violence scene, and unfortunately, this is not good for a under age person because it may effect the behaviour of that person. The point is, it all depends on ourself. We should think wisely during playing that type of games.
Here's some example of violence scene in a game :

TO SHAHEIR JIBIN AND FARIS IKHWAN :
ReplyDeleteYes, i totally agree with Shaheir Jibin. The point is, the violence scene in a game can gave a big impact on someone's behaviour, especially an under age person or a small kid..

To Faris Ikhwan :
ReplyDeleteIt's true that the gaming is passive. It does not flow on one way, means than the player can accept the information receives from the video game that he/she played. This can lead to a more aggressive behaviour when not controlled.

To Ahmad Asyraf :
ReplyDeleteYou just repeating what I said about the video game. Nevermind, what I understand is this game is really dangerous. The high-end graphics will bring much more bad consequences than the goods. Because the graphics are so real, it can compare to our ordinary vision itself. The violence and nudity scenes just got more real with high quality graphics. This will affect the players' negative proportion towards growing old.
